The COMBINE 2018 Meeting will take place in Boston, MA USA, from October 8th to October 12th at the Rajen Kilachand Center for Integrated Life Sciences and Engineering at Boston University.

Travel and Local Information

Traveling to Boston

By Air:

Boston Logan International Airport is located approximately three miles from downtown Boston. The Silver Line Bus (SL1) is free to ride from the airport and terminates at South Station. From South Station, transfer to the Red Line Inbound (to Alewife) and ride two stops to Park Street. From Park Street, transfer to the outbound Green B Line (to Boston College) and depart at either Kenmore for the Boston Hotel Buckminster or Blandford Street for the conference venue. Transfers at underground subway stations are free, so transportation from the airport using this method will not cost any money. Returning to the airport using this method will cost about $3.

Alternatively, taxis/Ubers/Lyfts are plentiful. A ride from the airport to the conference venue will take approximately 20-30 minutes in little to no traffic and cost between $15 and $40.

You can also rent a car, but we don't recommend this option as Boston has limited parking, lots of congestion, and aggressive drivers.

By Rail:

Amtrak trains stop at both North and South Station. These stations are connected to the subway system which can be used to get to the conference venue.

By Road:

Boston is easily accessible by road via:

  • I-93 - from points north
  • I-95 - from points south
  • I-90 - from points west

By Bus:

South Station is also serviced by Bolt Bus, Greyhound, Lucky Star, MegaBus, Peter Pan, and others.
